Dr. McMahon brings a perspective that combines real-world behavioral health experience with regulatory and compliance expertise.

She has worked in substance use disorder treatment since 2010 and has operated an independent consulting practice since 2015, working with programs across the country on licensing, certification, accreditation, compliance and program development.

Joint Commission accreditation readiness
CARF behavioral health accreditation and Level of Care certification
ASAM-based treatment levels of care
Compliance gap analysis and mock surveys
Policy and procedure development
Regulatory and operational risk assessment

She estimates that her independent consulting practice has included approximately 100 program engagements.

Dr. McMahon has also served as a presenter on addiction-treatment and regulatory issues, including presentations connected to the California Department of Health Care Services.
